Kafka's "Transformation" text appears on the overseas version of "Kirby's Dream Land" official website

On August 12th (Thursday), the opening sentence of the novel "The Metamorphosis" by author Franz Kafka was suddenly posted on the official website of the overseas version of "Kirby's Dream Land" operated by Nintendo of America. Although it was quickly deleted and now revised, the appearance of an absurd text that is far from the world view of the series is causing ripples. [See other images related to this article] UnknownRedditDude2, a user of the overseas forum site "Reddit", detected suspicious activity on the official website. Posting an image on the Kirby of the Stars community page, he points out that a new announcement for the series may be coming soon. However, rather than the updated information on the site, the dummy text written on the page attracted attention in an unexpected way. The page that seems to have been released by mistake during preliminary assembly contains the first few lines of "The Metamorphosis", a representative work by Franz Kafka, a German-language writer from the Czech Republic. One morning Gregor Samsa awoke from a disturbing dream to find himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic insect. (Translated by Yoshitaka Takahashi: from Shincho Bunko) Starting with this famous passage, nearly 10 lines of sentences, including the scene where the main character Samza asks himself, "Isn't this a dream?" was quoted as dummy text. Although it has already been deleted from the official website, it can be viewed from the page saved by "Internet Archive". If you associate "transformation" with this series, the main character, Kirby, is famous for his "copy ability", which allows him to take the opponent's skill and make it his own. Nonetheless, various discussions have arisen among overseas fans as to whether there is some important meaning in the background of choosing the text of the novel published in 1915. Since the release of "Kirby Star Allies" in 2018, no legitimate sequel title has been released in the "Kirby of the Stars" series. Many fans are hoping for the day when this mysterious event turns into a huge announcement. Writer/dashimaru
